I attended Roger's EBS in Bali in 2007, a perk, for joining as a lifemember earlier that year. I had high expectations for that event as it has been hyped up the ying yang. We were introduced to our team, 7 or so fellow attendees we will be working with for the next 3 days. One of our business proposal was choosen by Roger for us to work on so for the next 3 days and nights we "worked" on ours. I have been to many business programmes including the top business schools in the world and Roger's EBS is summer camp entertainment for me, at best.
One night during the event we got together with our respective team to solve a "conundrum" which amounts to nothing more than, lets light some candles and have a group hypnosis session so you all can feel that warm fuzzy feeling inside.
On the final day, our finest hour at EBS, one of the team will emerge to have the best business proposal. The most, viable, profitable, socially responsible, eco friendly business proposal will top everyone elses. Right? WRONG!!! It came down to a high school skit that every team had to put together, and we all voted on which one we liked best. Like a popularity contest which is what it really was. By the way, on day 2 we had to vote 2 members out, like in the reality show "survivor". So thats why they say EBS is american idol meets survivor. All hype. I'm interested to know what EBS masters is all about.
